Operator Tool
Washer & Dryer Rental Pricing Calculator
A simpler planning calculator for washer and dryer rental operators: enter sets, monthly rent, setup fee, equipment cost, weekly installs, and fixed monthly costs.
Quick Estimate
Put in the numbers an operator actually knows
The estimate updates automatically as you edit. Tap or click a number to highlight it, then type the replacement value.
The install estimate uses 4 weeks as a simple planning month. Labor, taxes, financing, insurance, downtime, bad debt, and repairs are still separate business decisions.

A simple planning snapshot
This is a quick revenue-and-payback view, not a full profit forecast.
Monthly estimate after fixed costs
$2,420
Simple equipment payback
4.5 months
- Rental sets counted
- 24
- Monthly rental revenue
- $1,440
- Estimated installs per month
- 16
- Setup / delivery revenue
- $1,280
- Revenue before fixed costs
- $2,720
- Equipment cash per set
- $350
Payback is based on equipment cost minus the setup/delivery fee, then divided by monthly rent per set. It stays simple on purpose so the estimate is easy to challenge.
How The Estimate Works
The math is intentionally simple and visible
The calculator is meant to be easy to challenge. It uses a small set of practical inputs instead of asking operators to tune every accounting assumption.
- Rental sets counted = the number of sets entered.
- Monthly rental revenue = rental sets x monthly rent per set.
- Estimated monthly installs = new installs per week x 4 planning weeks.
- Setup / delivery revenue = estimated monthly installs x setup / delivery fee.
- Monthly estimate after fixed costs = rental revenue + setup / delivery revenue - monthly fixed costs.
- Simple equipment payback = equipment cost after setup / delivery fee divided by monthly rent per set.
Planning Boundary
What this calculator does not include
This calculator is for operational planning only. It does not account for every business expense, financing cost, taxes, downtime, nonpayment, labor, insurance, or local market conditions.
It is not investment advice. Use current local quotes, professional guidance, and real operating history before making business decisions.
Specific items left out
- Labor for delivery, pickup, service, sales, admin, and bookkeeping.
- Taxes, financing cost, depreciation, insurance, permits, and professional fees.
- Downtime, nonpayment, collections, replacements, chargebacks, and local market limits.
- Safety-sensitive installation, electrical, gas, plumbing, or appliance-repair requirements.
Next Steps
Pricing is only one part of the operating system
A useful rental price also needs records for billing, payment review, unit economics, customer context, and field work.
